Join us for a trip across the frozen landscape to explore the history of Longyearbyen and its extensive coal mining industry. In the haunting space of Coal Mine 3, music moves between shadow and light. From the theatrical works of composers Weill and Brecht to the lush strings of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence, the program takes audiences on a journey through contrasts in music and its surroundings.
