Founded in Copenhagen in 2018, the NOVO Quartet is one of the leading chamber ensembles of their generation. Based in Vienna and Copenhagen, the group features violinists Kaya Kato Møller and Nikolai Vasili Nedergaard, violist Daniel Śledziński, and cellist Signe Ebstrup Bitsch.
Winners of the first prize and multiple awards at the Geneva International Music Competition 2023, the quartet is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation’s “Young Artistic Elite” program in 2024. Their journey began under Tim Frederiksen at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and continued with advanced studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and École Normale de Musique de Paris. Their debut album, Frozen Moments, was released in 2023.
Known for their creativity and youthful energy, the NOVO Quartet explores diverse projects, from contemporary classical compositions to jazz and fashion collaborations, captivating audiences with their heartfelt performances and compelling unity.
