Sola er ikke helt tilbake ennå,  men vi tar med oss noen musikalske lysglimt inn i denne søndags formiddagen. 

Sammen med musikere fra Arktisk Filharmoni, fyller vi peisestuen og kirken med klassiske verk, perfekte for en rolig søndag i februar.  Du får høre Weberns vakre Langsamer satz, Haydns strykekvartett med tilnavnet “soloppgang” og Mozarts optimistiske og muntre serenade for blåsere. Vi tar også en samtale med prest Siv Limstrand som del av konserten.

Even though the official return of the sun in Svalbard is on 8. March, we’ll bring a musical sunrise into the festival’s closing day.

This sunday we meet in Svalbard Church’s warm atmosphere, where musicians from Arktisk Filharmoni will present classical music perfectly fitted for a Sunday in February.

We will hear Webern’s beautiful Langsamer satz for strings, Haydn’s string quartet with the name “sunrise” – with musical patterns and moods that makes us feel the warm rays of sun and spring. To end the concert, the musicians will take us on a Sunday serenade with Mozart’s Serenade for winds filled with optimism, positivity and playfulness.
